It is an upgrade of the Quartz-401 model of the same 1971 plant. Instead of LW, the model uses a survey HF range, covering sections of 25, 31, 41 and 49 meters. The sensitivity of the model with a built-in telescopic antenna in the HF range of 300 µV. Selectivity on image channels 12 dB. According to other technical characteristics, the Quartz-402 radio receiver coincides with the base one. The radio was mainly exported, but sold in the USSR, and with both English and Russian letters in the name.
